From French-Canada, Le Vent du Nord (Wind of the North) is the most accomplished of the French- Canadian bands and one of the few that feature hurdy-gurdy playing along with the full range of instruments, lots of foot percussion, and vocals in French. For this--their first performance in Tucson--we have them at the acoustically perfect Berger Performing Arts Center. Two notes: Le Vent's lead fiddler, Andre Brunet, switched over from playing with the band La Bottine Souriante (Smiling Boot) who are no longer touring. Note: The first video is one of their signature songs,+ adds a couple from Quebec on vocals only. The second video is an entire performance over and hour long, and narration between songs is in ENGLISH! Le Vent du Nord tours extensively-- Much varied video of the band is on youtube, including acapella songs (in French of course) to fine instrumentals...
All reserved seating. No social distancing needed in the Berger Center. and all will be vaccinated or recently tested. $25; $23 seniors $3/ticket fee online. Tickets at the door will be $28 or $26 for seniors---so buying on line now gets you seats of your choice and at same price as door tickets. Some center seats are available with no fee at The Folk Shop, 2626 N. Campbell.

And, for this, their first performance in Tucson--we have them at the Temple of Music and Art downtown! Two notes: Le Vent's lead fiddler, Andre Brunet, switched over from playing with the band La Bottine Souriante (Smiling Boot) who are no longer touring. Note 2: The first of the two videos has 4 of the 5 members who will be here--without Andre Brunet, and the second of the videos is one of their signature songs, and does add a couple from Quebec on vocals only--it had the best sound quality.
All reserved seating will be $24; $22 seniors and TFTM members.

We are having the show at the 200 seat Catalyst--a new Makerspace at Tucson Mall--closest to the Sears, between Sears and Dillard's. Acoustics at Catalyst are fine as there is a stage and a cloth backdrop.
Tickets will be general admission at $17 in advance and $12 for ages 12-20. door $3 more if available.
