Three very entertaining brothers from Germany (actually two are brothers: the other is not, but from same region of the world) who are virtuosos on the banjo, bass, guitars and also fine singers. They are versatile players and singers, and play a wide range of American music, with a very entertaining stage presence. One of their CDs is a tribute to Doc Watson, and Doc's music included in a show that has wide variety of both virtuoso instrumentals and vocals. American music and songs, with some originals in the same style, all played with a European style and funny and entertaining stage presence. This will be their 2nd Tucson show; their first audience here was very impressed. Steve Martin and various other musicians worldwide have good things to say about the Kruger Brothers show.
A new song, "Forever and a Day" is on the site in black and white. On the color you tube, take some time to listen into a few minutes of the video!! Their instrumental goes in a song--a great version of the traditional song "The CooCoo" followed by a terrific banjo solo...

Other Info
Formed around the turn of the century and taking the name from the Gaelic word for “kinship” Daimh (pronounced Dive) have taken their contemporary take of Highland and Gaelic music to over 20 countries, setting audiences alight from Moscow to San Francisco.
With a reputation as giants of the Bagpipes and Fiddle, Angus Mackenzie and Gabe McVarish lead the melodic powerhouse with fellow founder member Ross Martin underpinning the groove on the Guitar. The Band are joined by “new guy” Murdo “Yogi” Cameron on Mandola and Accordion to complete the instrumental line up.
Daimh have always had the renown and notoriety of working with some of the finest Gaelic singers in Scotland and the current line up only serves to cement that distinction with the addition of the Gaelic firmament’s most rapidly rising star, Ellen MacDonald on vocals.
Recent accolades include last year’s award for the “Best Folk Band in Europe” at the prestigious Folkherbst competition in Germany and most recently winner of “Folk Band of the Year” at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards.
On pipes, fiddle, strings and vocals in Scottish Gaelic, this band plays the Scottish traditions well and has a dynamic sound. General Admission tickets on sale now on line, and at both Antigone Books and the Folk shop. The church has very comfortable seats and fine acoustics. First time in Tucson.
